Every Wednesday & Friday** 10:00-3:00
This is a great way to get projects done and meet some
wonderful quilting friends! Spend the day at
Candlelite Quilts! Registration will hold your spot but
walk-ins are welcome, just call before you come and check
for availability.

Book Club/Hand Work Gathering *
"The Candlelite Piece Readers"
Every other Month for 6 months starting
Feb. 18 & April 7-1:00-4:00... more dates coming
This is a wonderful opportunity to work on your hand projects, and
discuss the book that we all read! You can bring any type of
handwork, trace red work patterns, binding, knitting, English
paper piecing, wool applique, rug punching or just come to
socialize. The first book we will be reading is “The Language of
Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.” We will be reading 6 books in all
and they can be viewed on the Club Page so you can know ahead of
time what we will be reading. Hope you join us!!

Quilting Jams!!!**
Saturday January
21, February 11 or April 28~2:00-11:00pm
Yes, that’s right 11:00 PM!! Imagine sewing for 9 hours straight!
This is a great social event to meet new quilting friends and have
an evening just for you. You can also bring hand projects as well.
This class fills up quick, I think because dinner is included (no
cooking!!)

“No Hoop© Red work” Workshops
Tuesday, January 31, February 28, March 27, April 24~6:00-9:00
Weather you know how to red work or are just beginning, this class
is the place to watch your project come to life. Beginners will be
taught the “No-Hoop”© technique on a project of their choice,
including transferring the design, tools and stitches to make this
an enjoyable & portable project. Others will be continuing on
their own projects. I will be starting the “Love Is” quilt (great
for beginners), you can join in red work or bring your own
handwork project!!

Machine Quilting (Beginner)
Saturday, April
21~10:30-3:30
This class is a must! You will learn in the ditch, free motion,
all about needles, threads and much more. You will look at machine
quilting in a whole new way and feel confident in your next
project.

“Farmer’s Wife Club”
**Tues. morn or even, Jan. 3, Feb. 7, March,
6, April 3 (dates to continue)
Learn how to make 6 ½” blocks from templates. In class you will
choose fabrics, trace the shapes and cut them out. You will sew
your blocks at home! We will cut out for two blocks per month.
(This is a 12 month class ). If you have already taken this class,
you are welcome to come and continue with more blocks. You will
get inspired each time you come!
Club Fee~$50.00 (includes required book & first month)

month (If you already took the class, but want to continue to work

in a Note card series of patterns designed to use 8 half yards.
This is a quick and easy way to learn quilting. Cutting will be
done in class, so new quilters are welcome as well as experienced
quilters. Come and see all the bundles of colors already picked
out for you, just grab and go!! Hope to see you in class!

techniques. Cutting will be done in class, so beginner quilters

Introducing a New pattern by Candlelite Designs!! It is the third
in a Note card series of patterns designed to use 8 half yards.
This is a great way to continue your quilting skills. This quilt
is made up of quarter square triangles and rectangles. Learn about
sewing bias edges while creating this stunning quilt. Cutting will
be done in class. Come and see all the bundles of colors already
picked out for you, just grab and go!! (If you took Hideaway, this
is a great third class!)

English Paper Piecing with
Hexagons* (Beginner)
Sat, Jan. 21, Feb 25 10:30-1:30
This is one of the most addicting forms of hand work I have ever
experienced. Bring yourself into a world where there were no
sewing machines, but wonderful pointed shapes that were needed to
create designs. You will learn this wonderful technique and walk
away with hexagons ready to continue a grandmother’s flower garden
or the design of your choice. Candlelite will have plenty of paper
pieces to purchase so you can get start on your next project.
Cheryl is an expert and has made several quilts, table toppers,
and bed runners for you to see.

English Paper Piecing with “Tea
Houses* (Beginner)
Sat, Feb. 18, 10:30-1:00
Candllelite Designs has a new shape, “Tea Houses”, in two sizes
(large or small)!! You can make a quilt, runner, stocking and much
more. You will learn this wonderful technique and walk away with
“Houses” ready to design. Candlelite will have plenty of paper

Paper Piecing* Log Cabin Blocks
(Beginner)
Saturday, March. 31~10:30-1:30
Learn the art of Paper Piecing! You sew on foundation paper with
the outline of the block. Mary will show you all the tips and
tricks to making this most accurate way of sewing a breeze!! If
you never tried it, this is the time!! Check out the website to

Chubby Charmer Bag (Beginner)
Wednesday, Jan. 25~6:00-9:00
This is one of the most popular bags in the quilting world!! I
have seen it done up in many colors. All you need is a charm pack
or 5” squares and lining. Mary will show how to put it all
together. Don’t miss out!!

“Tea Leaf Table topper”**
March 24, 10:30-1:30
This is a fun new technique that looks like more work than it
really is! Once you learn this wonderful new way to create two
fabrics showing at once, you can apply it to any project. What is
exciting about this class is the instructor is Kristine Poor of
“Poorhouse Quilt Designs.” Her patterns are sold all over the
country! You will learn from the expert who invented this
technique!! Don’t miss it!!

I believe that we are all beginners and there is always something new to learn. We have tried to help you decide on the right class for you, so use the levels to help determine the best fit for your quilting skill level and get the most from your class. Thank you.
Beginner, Beginner~ You have never done any type of quilting but have a love and want to get started.
Beginner~ You started to use a rotary cutter and have done some piecing but looking for more instruction, look for beginner in the class list.
Experienced Beginner~ You have made a few quilts and feel confident in your cutting and piecing skills but want to explore other aspects of quilting
Advanced Beginner~ You have made several quilts and quilt all the time but want to learn more to challenge yourself.
